LG Watch W7 Hybrid Smartwatch With Wear OS System Launched

At the same presentation event of the V40 ThinQ flagship, the company also announced its new LG Watch W7 smartwatch. It is the first hybrid smartwatch of the brand, in addition to being the pioneer manufactured by the company to come equipped with the Wear OS operating system.

Its hybrid functionality consists of offering the options to be used both as a smart clock and a conventional analog accessory. It comes equipped with a 1.2-inch touchscreen, a 360 x 360 pixels resolution and at 300 dpi.

In its other technical specifications, it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 (MSM8909W) processor – instead of the new Wear 3100 -, 768MB of LPDDR3 RAM and 4GB of internal storage. The W7 Watch is also IP68 certified, so it is water and dust resistant.

Its battery can last up to two days when used as a smartwatch. In the traditional configuration, the battery life can reach up to 100 days with a single charge. It has a stainless steel body and has been developed in partnership with Soprod SA of Switzerland. It has an altimeter, barometer, 9-Axis (gyro/ accelerometer/ compass), stopwatch, timer and pressure sensor.

LG Watch W7 Price and Availability

The LG Watch W7 will be available for pre-order from October 7 at online retailers. The device will arrive on October 14, at a suggested price of $449.99. It comes in Cloud Silver color and is compatible with all standard 22mm watch bands.
