LG Volt TV, mid-range smartphone with Digital TV

LG has launched a smartphone called the Volt TV, the LG Volt TV smartphone is equipped with the digital video encoder technology, can be used as a wireless device. You can turn this smartphone in to live TV at anytime you want.

The LG Volt TV features a 4.7 inch LCD screen with HD resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. The phone is a powered by a 1.3GHz quad core processor, 1GB of RAM and internal memory of 8GB. It has a 8 megapixel rear camera while a 1.3 megapixel front facing camera. The phone runs Android 5.0 Lollipop platform and packed with a 2020mAh battery. For connectivity, included WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and Micro USB.

The owner of the LG Volt TV on this smartphone using broadcasts of the ISDB-T, a transmission type pioneered in Japan and accoutered with some tweak in Latin America. This LG Digital TV smartphone is specially designed for Brazilian market so it is unclear that the device will come to another region or not.

LG is also getting some positive response to digitize TV roadmap outlined earlier. This LG Digital TV Tuner standard uses H.264/MPEG-4 AVC compression and streams speeds up to 30 FPS which is really appreciable for any smartphone device.

The LG Volt TV price is not revealed yet, but we only hope that it will soon available in many markets in near future.
