At the end of last year, South Korean electronics giant LG unveiled a new best OLED gaming monitor called the LG UltraGear OLED 45GX950A-B. According to the manufacturer, the 45-inch WOLED panel with a 5K2K resolution (5120 x 2160 pixels, 21:9) is now entering mass production, so it is already available for purchase on Amazon.
The 800R curvature panel achieves a peak brightness of 1300 cd/m² and can display 5K2K at a maximum refresh rate of 165 Hz. Alternatively, it can switch to Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) and up to 330 Hz. Therefore, it offers a dual-Hz mode, allowing gamers to prioritize image quality or frame rate/input lag.
A special filter minimizes distracting glare. The LG OLED AMD freesync monitor features extreme curvature (up to 800R curve), DisplayPort 2.1, USB-C (90W PD), and integrated speakers. The display covers 98.5% of the DCI-P3 (CIE 1976) color gamut and boasts a 1,500,000:1 (typical) contrast ratio.
A 0.03ms (GtG) response time ensures smooth motion and minimal input lag. Moreover, the 178° viewing angles provide consistent visuals from different perspectives. Additionally, with a 21:9 aspect ratio, the screen delivers an immersive viewing experience. It starts at a minimum brightness of 250 nits and, furthermore, peaks at 1300 nits.
It includes RGB LED and Hexagon Lighting, providing a stylish and customizable aesthetic. Additionally, HDR10 and VESA DisplayHDR TRUE BLACK 400 deliver vibrant colors and deep contrast, while HDR Effect further enhances non-HDR content.
The LG UltraGear OLED 45GX950A-B monitor features a detachable base with tilt, height, and swivel adjustments. It also has a one-click stand setup for easy installation and supports VESA wall mounting (100 × 100 mm) for flexible placement.
