LG has ignited anticipation by confirming plans to unveil a new 39-inch OLED gaming monitor next week at CES 2025. The UltraGear OLED 39GX90SA, expected to replace this year’s UltraGear OLED 39GS95QE, will feature an AGLR coating, 800R curvature, and webOS with access to popular streaming services.

LG Electronics has previewed the UltraGear OLED 39GX90SA, which will be fully unveiled next week at CES 2025 in Las Vegas. In the meantime, the company also showed off the UltraGear OLED 45GX50A, UltraGear OLED 45GX950A, and UltraGear OLED 45GX990A, which we’ve covered separately. Additionally, it appears that LG’s new 39-inch OLED gaming monitor replaces the 39GS95QE model the company introduced in January at this year’s CES before releasing it two months later for $1,499.99 in the US (approx. $890 on Amazon).
While LG hasn’t yet revealed many details about the UltraGear OLED 39GX90SA, they have confirmed that the monitor will retain a 21:9 aspect ratio with an 800R curvature, just like the 39GS95QE model. Additionally, it will feature LG’s anti-glare and low-reflection (AGLR) coating, a familiar feature that should minimize reflections and glare without compromising image quality. The monitor will also pack a compact “L” stand and USB Type-C ports, with DisplayPort and HDMI connectivity presumably included.
Unlike most of LG’s other gaming monitors, the UltraGear OLED 39GX90SA will run webOS and access streaming services like Amazon Prime and Netflix. This unexpected versatility transforms the monitor into a “home entertainment hub” rather than a simple gaming monitor. While there’s no word on the maximum resolution or refresh rate yet, we doubt LG will go below the 1440p and 240Hz this year’s 39GS95QE display achieved.
