LG is ready to renew its traditional wireless earphones with the new LG Tone Platinum SE, apparently very similar to the current model but now with a dedicated Google Assistant button.
The Korean house is developing all its devices around artificial intelligence and smart functions, so it is not surprising the choice and intrigues us not to read their 2018 “ThinQ” trademark.
We will see the LG Tone Platinum SE during IFA 2018, so we will not have to wait long to try them. In addition to the classic “Ok Google” voice activation, we will have a dedicated physical button available to call the virtual assistant. Google Translate will also be available to help us in the most difficult conversations, it seems there will be a special function for the translation in real time that we cannot wait to put to the test.
Dual MEMS microphones, dynamic drivers and balanced armature and a dynamic driver, a combination usually found in-ear units used by professional musicians. The balanced armature unit generates clear high-frequency sound while the dynamic drivers deliver robust bass.
At the moment, we don’t know prices and availability of the new LG earphones, but it comes in black, blue and gold color options.
