LG has introduced a new mobile projector in its CineBeam line called PH30N. This weighs only half a kilogram and creates an image with a diagonal of up to 100 inches and a resolution of 720p.
If you are looking for a new mobile projector, you might find it at LG. The South Korean manufacturer recently launched the LG PH30N DLP Projector that weighs just under half a kilogram (1.1 pounds). With dimensions of 12.7 x 12.7 x 3.8 cm, the movie projector device is also correspondingly compact and therefore can be transported relatively easily.
The portable projector manages to project a picture with a diagonal of 100 inches at a distance of 3 meters. The device comes with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, which is relatively small at a size of 100 inches. The brightness of 250 ANSI Lumens is unfortunately not the highest either. Nevertheless, the specifications should be sufficient to watch a movie or give a presentation on the go.
Furthermore, the PH30N has an integrated battery that enables runtime of up to 2 hours. According to the manufacturer, the LED lamp should last up to 30,000 hours. The image can be transmitted either via HDMI or wirelessly. Alternatively, videos can also be played from an external USB memory.
Price and availability
The LG CineBeam PH30N mobile projector price has been set at $399.99 and it can be purchased through the Bestbuy.com and Amazon.com online stores. Overall, the new small projector is a very interesting gadget. A better resolution or a slightly higher brightness would have been desirable.
Earlier this month, LG Electronics has also expanded its Monitor display lineup with the announcement of the LG UltraFine Ergo 32UN880-B 4K HDR display, UltraWide 38WN95C-W Curved monitor, and UltraFine Ergo 27QN880-B QHD monitor with flexible stand.
