LG is introducing another business laser projector, the ProBeam BF40QS, in addition to the LG ProBeam BU70QGA. This LG Smart TV projector has a native WUXGA resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels and can accept 4K signals at 24, 50, and 60 Hz. The operating system on board is webOS 4.5, which provides a wide range of applications and an internet browser.
The LG Bluetooth projector can project image sizes from 40 to 300 inches and has both a lens shift and a trapezoid correction (both horizontally and vertically). According to the datasheet, you don’t have to do without HDR support and a 1.6x zoom either. The range of interfaces includes Bluetooth, HDMI (with ARC), Miracast, RJ-45, RS232C, USB-A 2.0, and WLAN.
The light source has a lifespan of 20,000 hours and achieves a peak brightness of 4000 ANSI lumens and a contrast ratio of 3,000,000:1. If desired, two internal 5-watt loudspeakers can be used as sound generators. The maximum power consumption of the 1 kg heavy LG Smart TV projector ProBeam BF40QS is estimated at 245 watts.
