In addition to the LG GX9 series 34GX90SA and 39GX90SA gaming monitors, the UltraGear 45GX90SA-B is another OLED gaming monitor to be released this year. Thanks to webOS 24, it offers smart functionality. Like its siblings, the 44.5-inch model relies on OLED MLA technology, has a resolution of 3440 x 1440 pixels (UWQHD, 21:9) at a maximum refresh rate of 240 Hz, and is curved at a whopping 800R.

In addition to its impressive design, the new LG 45GX90SA monitor offers several notable features. For color accuracy, it covers 98.5 percent of the DCI-P3 spectrum and supports 10-bit color depth. Furthermore, it delivers an ultra-fast 0.03 ms grayscale response and an exceptional contrast ratio of 1,500,000:1. When it comes to brightness, the display reaches 275 cd/m² typically, and up to 1,300 cd/m² at peak levels. Moreover, it supports DisplayHDR True Black 400 and includes ClearMR 13,000 for clearer motion rendering. For gamers, it also features FreeSync Premium, G-Sync compatibility, an FPS indicator, and a crosshair overlay. Additionally, the monitor comes with a remote control, built-in speakers, and supports both picture-in-picture and picture-by-picture modes for enhanced multitasking.
As mentioned earlier, webOS not only allows standalone monitoring but also offers a wide selection of apps. Additionally, those who use an optional LG Magic Remote can control the device via voice commands. Furthermore, the interface options are quite extensive, including AirPlay, Bluetooth, two HDMI 2.1 inputs (one with eARC), a DisplayPort 1.4, a headphone output, an RJ-45 jack, two USB-A ports, and a USB-C port with 65W PD. However, it’s worth noting that there is no automatic input selection (Auto Input Switch).
To begin with, solid ergonomic features are at the forefront, including tilt, swivel, height adjustment, VESA mounting (100 x 100 mm), blue light filtering, and even a mode designed for people with color vision deficiency. Additionally, the LG UltraGear 45GX90SA-B consumes 46 watts in SDR mode or 53 watts in HDR mode. As a result, it is classified under the EU energy efficiency class F (on a scale from A to G).
