LG launches 39GX90SA-W 39-inch OLED Gaming Monitor running webOS 24

The UltraGear OLED 39GX90SA-W is one of LG’s new OLED gaming monitors. It was first listed in Japan and is now available on Amazon in the US.

LG 39GX90SA-W

LG has released the 39GX90SA-W in Japan after introducing it there last month. For context, the UltraGear OLED 39GX90SA serves as a larger alternative to the UltraGear OLED 34GX90SA, which Amazon also lists today.

As previously discussed, the LG 39GX90SA-W appears to share its underlying WOLED panel with the UltraGear OLED 39GS95QE (approx. $945 / £840 on Amazon) that debuted last year. As such, the former sports a 1440p resolution, 240Hz refresh rate, and 0.03ms GtG response times with an 800R curvature. This time around, however, LG has added a second DisplayPort 1.4 port and a USB Type-C port capable of charging connected devices at 65W.

The UltraGear OLED 39GX90SA also has webOS as its pre-installed operating system, just like LG’s Smart TVs. This means the monitor supports streaming services, whether Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV and YouTube, or Nvidia GeForce Now.

LG 39GX90SA-W Price and Release Date

At launch, LG decided to price the UltraGear OLED 39GX90SA at 249,800 JPY (~$1,675), 10,000 JPY (~$67) more expensive than the UltraGear OLED 39GS95QE, which launched last year. The LG UltraGear OLED 39GX90SA is listed on Amazon at $1,599.99 and is expected to be delivered in mid-April 2025.

Updated on April 18, 2025: It is now also available in the UK via Amazon.co.uk for £1,269.97.
