With the 38WQ88C-W, LG brings its curved monitor screen into the 38 inch class. The LG Ultrawide monitor relies on an IPS panel with UWQHD+ (3840×1600 pixels, 21:9), 60 Hz refresh rate, 2300 R curvature, and HDR10 support.
The new LG curved monitor has a contrast ratio of 1000:1, the color depth is 10 bits (8 bits + FRC), the response time is 5 ms (grey to gray), and the typical brightness is 300 cd/m².
The LG 38 inch monitor also promises 95 percent DCI-P3 and typical power consumption of 48 watts. FreeSync (without LFC) was thought of just as much as a black stabilizer, a picture-by-picture mode, and two internal 10-watt speakers.
On the connection side, there are two HDMI 2.0 inputs, a DisplayPort 1.4, a USB 3.0 hub, a headphone output, and USB-C with DisplayPort alternate mode and 90-watt power delivery. The LG 38WQ88C-W comes with a white back and weighs 6.4 kg without the stand.
The ergo stand allows the curved monitor screen to be screwed to the desk. In addition to the rotation, tilt, and height adjustment, it is possible to push the device backwards or pull it forwards. A VESA mount (100 x 100 mm) can also be used for wall mounting if desired. Other ergonomic features include a blue light filter, a flicker-reduced backlight, and a mode for people with color blindness.
