LG 34WP65C 34-inch Curved Gaming Monitor with FreeSync Premium

The South Korean brand LG has launched a new 34 curved monitor for gaming called the LG 34WP65C-B, which has a curved VA panel with UWQHD resolution (3440 x 1440 pixels) and a refresh rate of up to 160 Hz.

The new LG ultra HD monitor has a contrast ratio of 3000: 1, the color depth is 10 bits ( 8 bits + FRC ), the response time is 5 ms (gray to gray), and the typical brightness is 300 cd/m². The latter boosts the advertised HDR10 support, which should be correspondingly moderate.

This LG UltraWide monitor offers 99 percent sRGB, two internal 7-watt speakers, and factory color calibration. Gamers can choose to use FreeSync Premium against tearing or a mode against moving image blur. On the connectivity side, there are two HDMI 2.0 inputs, a DisplayPort 1.4 and a headphone output.

Apparently, there is no USB connection. The ergonomic functions include inclination, height adjustment, VESA recording (100 x 100 mm), flicker-reduced background lighting, and reader mode (= blue light filter).

The LG curved monitor allows itself 36 watts in SDR and 47 watts in HDR mode. Without a stand, the 34 curved monitor device weighs 5.8 kg and has the dimensions of 809 x 358.9 x 91.5 mm (W x H x D).
