The LG Swing Smart Monitor (32U889SA) is one of the most unusual displays on the market. LG packs a 32-inch touchscreen onto a stand with wheels, allowing the display to be freely positioned throughout the house. With webOS and USB-C Power Delivery, the monitor is highly versatile.

At first glance, the brand-new LG Swing is very reminiscent of the LG StandbyMe, but the new model uses a larger 31.5-inch IPS panel that achieves a resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels, a frame rate of 60 Hz, a brightness of 350 nits and a contrast ratio of 1,000:1.
The touchscreen, which has a glossy surface, is said to display 90 percent of the DCI-P3 color space. The LG 32U889SA’s biggest standout isn’t the panel itself but the included stand, which is tall enough to place the monitor on the floor yet still allows comfortable use on a couch or desk. The stand lets you use the screen in both portrait and landscape orientation, while the wheels make it easier to transport the monitor across the house.
According to LG’s marketing, the monitor isn’t just practical for watching TV at home or controlling smart home devices; it also looks great in meeting rooms or businesses. Thanks to LG webOS, the monitor can access primary streaming services without connecting to a set-top box. For business users, LG also offers options for streaming their PC screen to the LG Swing over the internet.
LG incorporates two 5-watt stereo speakers. Additionally, it supports Apple AirPlay and Google Screen Share, allowing users to wirelessly stream content from a smartphone. Moreover, you can connect devices via HDMI 2.0 or through one of three USB-C ports, which each deliver up to 65 watts of charging power to laptops. Finally, the stand conveniently holds the LG Swing’s power adapter.
