LG UltraGear 34GN850P Gaming Monitor with HDR and NVIDIA G-Sync

In 2020, the LG UltraGear 34GN850 was released, and now the manufacturer seems to have a successor model LG 34GN850P with better equipment and slightly higher energy efficiency at the start. This new LG 160Hz G sync monitor has a curved Nano IPS panel with UWQHD resolution (3440 x 1440 pixels, 21:9).

A 34 inch widescreen monitor curved panel achieves a maximum refresh rate of 160 Hz and is DisplayHDR 400 certified. In addition, the new LG 160Hz monitor features 10-bit color depth, 98 percent DCI-P3, a 1 ms fast gray change, a 1000:1 contrast, and 400 cd/m² brightness.

FreeSync Premium and G-Sync-compatible Adaptive Sync are used to prevent tearing in games. Alternatively, a mode against the blurring of moving images can be used – the predecessor was still missing such a mode. In terms of interfaces, there are two HDMI 2.0 inputs, a DisplayPort 1.4, a USB 3.0 hub, and a headphone output.

According to the EU energy label, the power consumption is 32 instead of 36 watts (SDR). The HDR consumption, on the other hand, is identical to the 2020 model at 63 watts. The new 34 inch QHD monitor can be tilted and adjusted in height and offers a mode for people with color blindness.

The LG 160Hz G sync gaming monitor weighs 5.5 kg without the stand and has a 3-sided virtually borderless design.
