Lenovo ThinkBook 15p

With the ThinkBook 13s Gen 2, Lenovo has already presented a new office notebook that offers a very attractive price-performance ratio, but the ThinkBook 15p offers even more performance. Because in this model, the manufacturer relies on a 10th Generation Intel Core i5-10300H processor with maximum clock frequencies up to 4.50 GHz, 4 Cores, and 8 Threads.

There is also a choice of an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 Max-Q or a GeForce GTX 1650 Ti Max-Q, each with 4 GB of GDDR6 graphics memory and 8 GB to 32 GB of DDR4-2933 memory. Dual M.2 slots can be equipped with PCIe SSDs. Lenovo offers two options for the 15.6-inch display: a 300 nits bright version with an IPS panel and a 1,920 x 1,080 pixels resolution or a 600 nits bright 4K display with a 3,840 x 2,160 pixels resolution including Pantone Calibration.

Due to the powerful chips, the notebook comes with a 135-watt charger, but the 57 Wh battery is only supposed to last 6.6 hours according to the manufacturer. In the almost 2 cm thick and 1.9 kg heavy housing there are two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, a USB-C connection (3.2 Gen 1), HDMI 2.0, RJ45, an AUX connector, and an SD card reader.

As little extras, the ThinkBook 15p offers an illuminated keyboard, a particularly large trackpad, a hinge that allows the display to be opened by 180 degrees, a fingerprint sensor in the power button, 2 x 2-watt stereo speakers with tuning from Harman, a 720p -Webcam with privacy shutter and relatively quiet fans, which should never be louder than 42 dB.
