Lenovo has introduced a new line of Smart Home products at IFA 2018, which are connected and controllable through a single app called Lenovo Link. The initial lineup consists of three products: a Smart Plug, Smart Camera, and Smart Bulb.
All Lenovo Smart Home products are equipped with wireless connectivity (WiFi802.11 b / g / n) and controlled by Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa voice assistants.
Lenovo Smart Plug
It is a smart socket through which it is possible to control, even by your voice commands, the switching on and off the connected device. The operation can be programmed or managed remotely via the companion app.
Lenovo Smart Camera
The camera is able to capture video streams with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels at 30 frames per second (with compression format H.264 / MJPEG), is equipped with a wide-angle optic and manual control for the pan and adjustment of the tilt – the viewing angle on the horizontal axis is 355 degrees, the angle on the vertical axis 120 degrees.
The Lenovo Smart Camera also supports night vision, bi-directional audio and is able to detect movement. With a simple voice command, it is also possible to activate it to visualize the monitored area.
Lenovo Smart Bulb
Lenovo’s smart bulb is also programmable and remotely controllable. The bulb produces white light with an adjustable temperature between 2700k and 6500k – this is not RGB LED bulb to avoid misunderstandings. With the voice commands, you can increase or decrease the light intensity.
The Lenovo Smart Essentials products will arrive in the US in November, price, and availability will be announced later.
