Lenovo had announced the ARM-powered Miix 630 2-in-1 laptop back in January this year at CES 2018, which is now available to buy from Amazon in USA, priced at $899.99. This is the company’s first Snapdragon-powered Windows laptop, part of the new breed of Always-Connected PCs from Microsoft.
Lenovo Miix 630 is powered by the Microsoft Windows 10 S and comes with integrated 4G LTE making it a true always connected PC. It packs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, and comes bundled with a Windows Ink-supporting digital pen capable of 1,024 levels of pressure. The 2-in-1 ships with a detachable keyboard, including which it is 15.6mm thick and weighs 1.33kg.
The Lenovo Miix 630 features a 12.3-inch WUXGA+ touchscreen display and comes with up to 8GB of RAM and storage options up to 256GB. It runs on Windows 10 S with Cortana voice-enabled intelligent personal digital assistant and has support for Windows Hello for secure log-in with your face.
Coming to the multi-media segment, the front of the laptop packs a infrared camera for Windows Hello. and a 5MP front facing camera. One the left side you have the headphone jack, loudspeaker and microSD / SIM card slot. On the right side you have the single USB type-C port, volume rocker and another loudspeaker. On the bottom of the display you have the pins to connect to the keyboard. There is a 13MP camera on the back.
It also has a microSD card for memory expansion and has only single USB Type-C port. The Miix 630 can be used as a full-sized PC with a backlit keyboard or can also be used as a 2-in-1 detachable. The company is promising a battery life of up to 20 hours. It weighs just 1.33kg and measures 15.6mm with the keyboard.
