Lenovo K6 Note can be charged via a standard micro-USB port, which is traditionally located on the bottom side of the case, together with the Loudspeaker, and at the top a 3.5mm audio jack along with a microphone.

Ergonomics

The design of the Lenovo K6 Note is symmetrical and also very precise. Its dimensions are 151 x 76 x 8.4 mm mm and it weighs 169 grams. It features a 5.5 inch display with 72.7% screen-to-body ratio. Of course, to use this with one hand is not very convenient. But some of manufacturers equip their devices with all sorts of software somehow easier to handle the device in one hand. 4

The fingerprint sensor is perfectly placed on the back side from where you can reach easily the finger when you hold a device in hand. The fingerprint recognition rate slightly above average, it’s not perfect every time. Overall the build quality is very premium at this price range.

Display

Display is 5.5 inches with Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) resolution, IPS-matrix with high brightness, good color reproduction, and wide viewing angles. Surprisingly, the black and white color in its depth is very close to that the AMOLED panel. Contrast ratio and maximum brightness of the image is literally amazing. 1

If desired, in the settings you can choose between two color profiles, “default” and “High brightness mode”. Multi-touch support up to ten points, sensor is working as it should most of the time. It’s very sensitive and responsive, and everything seems perfect. Another benefit, in addition to good color, there is an oleophobic coating on top of it. It is very comparable to other same segment flagship devices.

Interface

Lenovo K6 Note running the Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. At the time of testing when first turned on the device immediately got a two update in a row and the result is Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

The graphical interface has some differences from the stock. The first thing that just catches your attention when you turn on your smartphone – is the default color scheme of the device. 3

Well, Lenovo has also made it possible to set different themes. As additional software on the smartphone is VR mode that divides the screen into two parts for the use in virtual reality glasses. Other software features are common across the models as well, including the app lock functionality that allows users to lock any app using a fingerprint or password; Dual Apps mode, which lets users have two apps on the same phone; and Fingerprint Snap, which lets the fingerprint sensor act as an alternative shutter button. Overall, Lenovo Vibe Pure UI interface is fast, smooth, and no delay or lag to open various applications.

Talking about the benchmark score on the Lenovo K6 Note, we got the 44,305 in AnTuTu, 21,063 in Quadrant, 15fps in GFXbench, and 5.601 in 3DMark Ice Storm Extreme. Game performance of the smartphone, playing Doodle Jump gyroscope works perfect; Lara Croft: Relic Run – running without any problem. When playing high graphics game like the Godfire: Rise of Prometheus, Adreno 505 does not reveal all the graphic potential of this device, but, it can be easily played on it.

Camera

The Lenovo K6 Note comes with a 16-megapixel rear autofocus camera sensor with dual-tone LED flash, and an 8-megapixels front facing camera for selfie. The PDAF is very quick, and good to capture the perfect shot, but you need to keep the phone very stable, because the slightest movement of the hand leads to the image deterioration. 2

But from the point of view of the built-in camera software worked well. To many modes, including: intelligent, which automatically selects shooting settings depending on the lighting and scene; panorama photography; Night Scene; HDR; Professional mode in which all parameters are set manually; Slow Motion, and Timelapse.

We managed to get about 9 hours of playback time in Full HD video at maximum brightness with “Flight” mode on, which is decent for a battery of this size. One hour game play of the World Of Tanks: Blitz, battery drop around 21%. With such a battery we can not worry about the charge, the device can easily last for a day with moderate usage.
