The IdeaPad Slim 3X 2025 is a new AI-powered laptop. It’s user-expandable, supports fast battery charging, and is robust enough for everyday use. Developers design AI features to be accelerated accordingly.
Lenovo has introduced the IdeaPad Slim 3X 2025, a new versatile laptop for work that embraces the AI trend and promotes it as a Copilot+ PC. Accordingly, users should also benefit from local AI acceleration. It features an NPU with a performance of 45 TOPS, which can accelerate corresponding AI applications. Lenovo relies on a Snapdragon X processor from Qualcomm for the IdeaPad Slim 3X 2025, not an APU from AMD or Intel. It runs Windows 11 as the operating system.
It’s a lightweight laptop at least 16.9 millimeters thick and equipped with a 15.1-inch screen. There will be various display options; in particular, the top-of-the-line model will feature an OLED panel with a 2,560 x 1,600 pixel resolution. However, people say the refresh rate remains at 60 Hz and has not increased. Meanwhile, the manufacturer advertises this panel as meeting the requirements of DisplayHDR True Black 600, thereby promising a better display for high-contrast media content.
The high-performance laptop has up to 24GB of LPDDR5x memory running at 8,448 MHz and an M.2 2242 SSD with up to 1TB capacity. A second M.2 2242 slot, also connected via PCIe Gen 4, is available for installing a second SSD.
It features a 60 Wh battery and features HDMI 1.4 and USB 3.2 Type-C with full functionality. The package includes an HD camera, two microphones, speakers, and a memory card reader. Depending on the model version, the device may support Wi-Fi 7. The manufacturer advertises compliance with the MIL-STD-810H standard, although the device is unlikely to be rugged.
