Lenovo has officially announced three new IdeaPad laptops aimed at the most budget-conscious users, who do not want to give up on a well-designed device and hardware platforms able to offer adequate performance. And Lenovo IdeaPad 330, IdeaPad 330S and IdeaPad 530S are specifically designed for them. All three devices include different display and features.
Lenovo IdeaPad 330
Lenovo IdeaPad 330 opens the lower end of the range with a price starting at $249.99; it is available in 14, 15 and 17-inch screen versions, with HD, HD+ and Full HD resolution respectively. This is a portable laptop weight starting from 2 kg, thanks to the PC-ABS body, available in a wide range of colors: Platinum Gray, Onyx Black, Mint Green, Midnight Blue, Blizzard White, and Chocolate. All laptops come with 1.5-watt stereo speakers with Dolby Audio support.
The laptop is configurable with multiple combinations of processor, storage, and graphics card. That base includes the Intel Celeron Dual Core N4000 processor and integrated graphics card, while for the top variant is the Intel Core i7-8750H processor combined with the GTX1050 GPU. Optional fingerprint reader, DVD writer, and touchscreen displays are also available.
Lenovo IdeaPad 330S
Those for who looking for an even lighter and more portable laptop can consider Lenovo IdeaPad 330S – the letter ‘S’ stands for slim. The weight is reduced by almost half a kilogram compared to the previous model (1.58 kilograms), while the side frames and the upper one of the display measure only 0.7 mm, with obvious advantages from the point of view of overall dimensions. The laptop made of aluminum; the color range is always very rich: Platinum Gray, Midnight Blue, Rose Pink, Blizzard White and Iron Gray.
The Lenovo laptop is available in 14 and 15-inch screen versions, both with FullHD resolution and IPS technology. Other noteworthy details include the backlit keyboard, 2-watt stereo speakers with Dolby Audio, and finally the possibility of configurations with processors that come to the eighth-generation Intel Core i7, combined with the GeForce GTX1050 GPU.
Lenovo IdeaPad 530S
At the top is positioned Lenovo IdeaPad 530S: the weight of 1.3 kilograms is even more contained than that of previous models, and the frames become even thinner (0.6 mm). The body is completely made of aluminum and is available in Onyx Black, Copper, Liquid Blue, and Mineral Gray colors. There are two versions with 14 and 15-inch IPS screens with a maximum brightness of 300 nits and FullHD or WQHD panels (2560 x 1440 pixels).
Inside the body, there are 8th generation Intel Core processors, SSD-based storage and Nvidia MX130 or MX150 graphics cards. The keyboard is combined with a large Precision Touchpad, while the sound system is made in collaboration with Harman Kardon.
As well as the other two new IdeaPad lines, the IdeaPad 530S is also based on the Windows 10 Home operating system and includes a rich connectivity section (Wi-Fi, USB Type-C 3.1, USB 3.0, HDMI, 4-in-1 card reader).
