The Lenovo Idea Tab Pro was officially unveiled at CES 2025. It features a MediaTek Dimensity 8 series SoC, a high-resolution display, an 11,000mAh battery, and Android 14. It is now available in the UK.
Alongside the mountain of Yoga, IdeaPad, and Legion devices unveiled at CES 2025, Lenovo unveiled what looks like a mid-range tablet featuring near-high-end hardware from MediaTek. The Idea Tab Pro targets the highly competitive sub-$500 tablet market and offers decent value for its price.
The Lenovo Idea Tab Pro features an enormous 12.7-inch IPS LCD display (2,944 x 1,840 pixels, 16:10 aspect ratio) with a refresh rate of 144 Hz and a maximum brightness of 400 nits. Like any modern tablet, it supports landscape mode, with its 8 MP selfie camera aligned accordingly. A matte finish for the display is an option.
Under the hood, a MediaTek Dimensity 8300 processor powers the Lenovo Idea Tab Pro, which comes with 8GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 4.0 storage. This is refreshing in a mid-range tablet, as OEMs often skimp on memory and storage to keep costs down.
The new tablet features a 10,700mAh battery that charges 45 watts, 4 JBL-tuned speakers, a 13MP rear camera, and Wi-Fi 6E.

Lenovo sells the Idea Tab Pro on Amazon UK for £379.99 with 128GB of storage. The 256GB model costs £399.99.
Huawei recently unveiled the MatePad Pro 12.2 in the UK as a direct alternative to the iPad Pro. Notably, it features an OLED display with a tandem structure that achieves an HDR peak brightness of 2,000 nits. As a result, it exceeds the brightness of the current Apple iPad Pro by 25 percent. Furthermore, the display has a 3:2 format and a resolution of 2,800 x 1,840 pixels, enhancing its visual experience. It also supports a 144 Hz frame rate. The tablet is available in this country with 12 GB RAM and 512 GB flash storage for £749.99.
