Along with the Lenovo K9, the company also announced the Lenovo A5 smartphone in India. It is an entry-level affordable smartphone with a 5.45-inch 18:9 display with HD+ resolution, Android 8.1 Oreo, and fingerprint sensor on the back panel.

The Lenovo A5 price in India starts from Rs. 5,999 for the 2GB RAM with 16GB storage model and Rs. 6,999 for the 3GB RAM with 32GB storage model. It will be available exclusively from Flipkart online store. The handset comes in Black and Gold color options.

The Lenovo A5 features a 5.45-inch 2.5D curved glass display with HD+ (1440 x 720 pixels) resolution, and 18:9 aspect ratio. It comes with a metal-like finish polycarbonate body and powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor which supported by MediaTek MT6739 64-bit SoC paired with PowerVR Rogue GE8100 GPU. It packs 2GB/3GB of RAM with 16GB / 32GB of native storage which can be expanded via microSD card up to 256GB.

On the camera front, the A5 bears a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash. For selfie, there is an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with a f/2.2 aperture to capture wide group selfies. The Lenovo A5 also features a rear fingerprint sensor and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with ZUI 3.9 Lite, It packs a massive 4000mAh battery and supports dual SIM slot with dual standby.
