Leica Camera AG has introduced the Leica M10-R in a Black Paint finish. This is one the best rangefinder camera which not only presents a noble and classic Leica look but also has an inimitable way of showing the brass on the corners and edges after a long period of use underlines the individual character of the camera.
In addition to the high-gloss finish, the new Leica camera variant also differs in some other details compared to the original model, with which it is technically identical. The top cap features the classic Leica string as well as “Made in Germany” engraving.
Other differences lie in the small details: the ISO and the time wheel are provided with cross knurling and the release button is chrome-plated in silver. The new Leica M camera is particularly inconspicuous because it does not have the red Leica dot. “A form of understatement that many customers appreciate in order to be able to take pictures inconspicuously,” explains Leica.
Like the original model, the Leica M10-R Black Paint is equipped with an image sensor of 40 megapixels and, with this high resolution, is designed for the quality of the Leica M lenses. A characteristic of these and all other Leica M cameras is the quiet shutter sound, which allows photography to be taken almost unnoticed.
Leica M10-R Black Paint price and availability
Last month, Leica has expanded its SL lens portfolio with a launch of the Vario-Elmarit-SL 24-70mm f2.8 ASPH universal zoom for general areas of photography and video productions. With the large focal length range and the consistently high light intensity of 2.8, it is a universal lens that with its price-performance ratio, should make it easier to get started with the Leica SL system.
