With the Chromebox 5, Asus is offering the latest mini computer PC, which is equipped with one of four Intel processors and supports the connection of multiple high-resolution displays. Qi-compatible miniform PC can be charged on the top of the case.
The latest mini computer Asus Chromebox 5 is available with four different Intel processors, customers can choose between the Intel Core i3-1220P, the Intel Core i5-1240P, the Intel Core i7-1260P, and the Intel Celeron 7305. The processor is supported by up to 16 gigabytes, 3,200 MHz fast DDR4 main memory. The mounted SSD has a capacity of up to 256 gigabytes. A microSD card slot is available.
The miniform PC system, which is only 166.5 x 165.8 millimeters in size and 45.9 millimeters high, comes with numerous connections, including a versatile Thunderbolt 4 connection. There are also two HDMI and DisplayPort 1.4 – so up to four high-resolution displays can be used simultaneously. There are also several USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports and a combined jack for a microphone and headphones.
Connection to a network is possible via WiFi 6E and Ethernet, with the Ethernet port supporting data transmission at a speed of up to 2.5 Gbit/s. Either Chrome OS or the paid version of the Chrome Enterprise operating system is used as the operating system.
There is a charging pad on the top of the Chromebox 5. It supports the Qi standard and can wirelessly charge compatible devices with an output of up to 15 watts.

The latest mini computer Chromebox 5 is already available for pre-order on the Bhphotovideo.com and Amazon.com stores. Pricing starts from $294 for the version with the Intel Celeron 7305, 4 GB RAM, and a 128 GB SSD.
Asus last year also introduced the ExpertCenter PN53 mini PC. It is based on Ryzen processors and is available with a Ryzen 5, 7, and 9 model. Particularly, two fast LAN connections are available. It can be purchased on the Bhphotovideo.com store.
