Laowa 9mm F2.8 Zero-D Lens for L Mount

Venus Optics has released its Laowa 9mm f2.8 Zero-D ultra wide angle lens for L mount. Previously, it was introduced for Fuji X, Sony E, EOS M, and DJI DL mounts. With a focal length of 9mm, it provides a 100 ° angle of view, which is quite interesting for large crop cameras such as the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K and other MFT cameras.

Laowa 9mm F2.8 Zero-D Lens for Leica L mount

With its 113 ° angle of view, the new Laowa lens opens up exceptional perspectives for the photographer. With a length of 60 mm and a diameter of only 53 mm, it is characterized by a compact design and is very light with a weight of only 215 grams.

Thanks to the small front lens, screw-in filters with a diameter of 49 mm can be used without vignetting. Two aspherical elements and three elements with extremely low dispersion are designed to reduce both chromatic aberration and optical distortion to a minimum.

Also, this construction should ensure excellent sharpness right into the corners of the image. The Laowa 9mm f2.8 Zero-D is also suitable for video photographers, where it can be used both with the freehand and the focus is adjusted with a gimbal.
