Venus Optics has announced the new Laowa 10mm f4 Cookie wide-angle lens for APS-C mirrorless cameras. The new Laowa Cookie lens has a focal length of 10 mm (15 mm in 35mm equiv.). The lens is extremely compact: the length is 25 mm, and the weight is only 130 g.
At the same time, it has a viewing angle of 109.3 °, a rather complex optical design of 12 elements, including 4 ultra-low dispersion. The manufacturer claims ultra-low distortion and excellent image quality, which is quite likely since Venus Optics is perhaps the leader among Chinese optics manufacturers today, which invests a lot of effort and money in development. So this lens is ideal for the street, landscape, and everyday shooting, and although it is a manual lens, given its small size, it can make the lens-camera bundle very compact.

The Laowa 10mm f4 Cookie has been priced at $299, and it is available to pre-order on the Bhphotovideo.com and Aorama.com websites. It will be available in two color options, Black and Silver, for Canon RF, Nikon Z, Sony E, Leica L, and Fuji X mounts.
