Korg Nautilus Kronos-based Music Workstation with New Concept

With Nautilus, Korg USA launches a new music workstation series that uses a revised Kronos base and wants to redefine the direction in the upper mid-range workstation segment with a fresh concept.

In its structure, the Korg Nautilus Music Workstation works with revised versions of the well-known nine sound engines of the Korg Kronos and promises a completely changed and much clearer operating concept. Like the Korg Kronos series, the Nautilus Music Workstation is also available in three keyboard sizes: Nautilus 88 with 88-key RH3 (Real Weighted Hammer Action 3) keyboard, Nautilus 73 and Nautilus 61 are Natural Touch Semi Weighted keyboards.

With the nine revised sound engines, Nautilus provides over 1,900 preset sounds, which are divided into the areas like “Standard”, “Modern” and “Unique”. The Korg Nautilus is operated via the newly designed 7-inch large touchscreen display with 800 x 480 pixel resolution, as a control center functions, paired with sixteenth additional quick-access buttons should be directly accessible by means of which determine menus or function. There are four presets and four user assignments available for this.

With the dynamics knob, you can instantly control how the volume and timbre change depending on the strength (velocity) of the keystrokes on the Korg keyboard, and you can customize the playing feel of the keyboard in real-time according to your individual playing style and music.

The Set List mode known from Kronos is also integrated into Nautilus, which practically supports the creation of setlists for live performances.

Recently, Korg has also brought the MS-20 FS keyboard synthesizer to the Bhphotovideo store with a price tag of $1,399.99, which was first introduced at the NAMM 2020 show as DIY kits.
