Kingston launches IronKey Vault Privacy 80 External SSD with Touch Screen and Cryptographic Protection

Kingston has introduced the IronKey Vault Privacy 80 External SSD (VP80ES) series of SSD external drives with advanced security features. The new Kingston SSD series includes drives with a capacity of 480, 960, and 1920 GB, equipped with a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C interface.

The company claims read and write speeds of up to 250MB/s, a touch screen, FIPS 197 certification with 256-bit XTS-AES encryption, and support for a multiple password option (admin/user) with PIN and passphrase modes for the new products.

As innate as it is to unlock a phone and make simple drag-and-drop file transfers, the VP80ES is designed to protect data and is easy to use. With an intuitive color touch screen, plus the option to implement multiple passwords (administrator and user) with numeric PIN or passphrase, the Vault Privacy 80ES is superior to using the Internet and cloud services to protect data.

The dimensions of the SSD Kingston drives are 122.5 × 84.2 × 18.5 mm. Declares support for operating systems Microsoft Windows, macOS, Linux, Chrome OS, or any other that works with storage devices via USB.

The new Kingston SSD external drive pricing starts from $289.99 for the 480GB storage model, and it can be pre-ordered through the Amazon.com website. The company offers a three-year warranty on the presented SSD external drives.
