JBL at CES 2018 introduced the JBL L100 Classic speakers, a new edition of the JBL L100 that was released in 1970 and still the most sold and popular brand in USA.
The style is retro and deliberately based on the original speakers. The distinctive element is the Quadrex foam grille, which will be available in Black, Orange, and Blue colors. The cabinet is made of satin walnut wood veneer with black front and rear panels
Inside it, we find the new 25mm JT025Ti1 tweeter combined a waveguide with an acoustic lens to achieve optimal integration to the 125mm JM125PC 5-inch midrange driver. The low frequencies are entrusted to a 300mm 1200FE 12-inch woofer, not perfectly aligned vertically with respect to the other transducers (it is shifted a little further to the left). Therefore, these are three-way bass-reflex speakers with the front duct.
The JBL L100 Classic measures 64.77 x 39.37 x 34.92 cm and can be positioned vertically or horizontally. Availability is expected to around spring with a price tag of $4,000 per pair.
