A Japanese game developer has successfully used Face ID on iPhone X to completely erase his face in a video. Kazuya Noshiro said that using Unity, he had erased his face, except for his mouth and two eyes, and then using the face ID sensor to make a video that he could camouflage that face.
The trick does not prove anything but it shows that the Face ID feature will be able to do more than we thought. In the short video, the iPhone X was placed in a fixed position to record the image he was camouflaging, which he called “optical camouflage”. The Kazuya Noshiro will have to record video twice, once with the background to re-integrate into a complete video, thanks to the motion sensor and camera clusters on the iPhone X.

Earlier, users were able to sing Karaoke with animoji, but this is the first time we see iPhone X has the ability to camouflage face like this.
