Along with the BenQ GW3290QT, the Taiwanese company BenQ lists a new IPS eye care monitor with the GW2790QT. The 27-inch Benq eyecare monitor has an IPS panel, a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels (WQHD) at up to 75 Hz, and covers 99 percent of the sRGB color space.
In addition, 8-bit color depth, 350 cd/m² typical brightness, 5 ms response time (grey to gray), and a 1000:1 contrast ratio are promised. This new Benq stylish monitor also has two internal 2-watt speakers and a noise-canceling microphone.
On the interface side, HDMI 1.4, DisplayPort 1.2 (input and output; daisy chain capable), a USB 3.2 hub, a headphone output, and USB-C with DisplayPort alternate mode and 65-watt PD can be used.
In terms of ergonomics, thanks to the rotation, tilt, height adjustment, pivot, VESA mount (100 x 100 mm), blue light filtering, and flicker-free backlight, hardly anything is left to be desired. The manufacturer has also thought of a mode for people with color blindness.
The BenQ GW2790QT can be provided with firmware updates on the software side via USB, weighs 5.5 kg without the stand, and measures 614 x 372.3 x 62 mm (W x H x D). According to the datasheet, the typical power consumption is 20 watts.
