Inzone M9 II: Sony’s 4K G-Sync PS5 Monitor Now Up for Pre-order!

The Sony Inzone M9 II gaming monitor combines an IPS panel with zoned LED backlighting for high brightness and sharp motion clarity. In addition to the brand new Sony OLED gaming monitor with 480 Hz refresh rate, Sony also introduced the successor to the Inzone M9 (approx. $648 / £1,099 on Amazon), which has a 27-inch IPS panel with a resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels and a frame rate of 160 Hz.

The refresh rate is capped at 144 Hz when using HDMI 2.1. To achieve the maximum refresh rate, a DisplayPort 2.1 connection is required. Moreover, the anti-reflective display covers 95% of the DCI-P3 color space. Additionally, it is Nvidia G-Sync compatible and supports VESA Adaptive Sync to prevent image tearing.

Sony integrates a full-surface LED backlight, providing 400 nits of brightness and 750 nits of HDR peak brightness. This means Sony can’t quite keep up with mini-LED competitors – the Cooler Master Tempest GP27U (approx. $564 on Amazon), for example, achieves 600 and 1,200 nits respectively.

Backlight scanning, in turn, allows the Inzone M9 II to display fast movements more clearly. Additionally, a key feature is the Inzone Hub app, which lets you create custom presets for individual games. These presets can be automatically applied when each game is launched.

Sony has replaced the eye-catching stand from the previous PS5 monitor model with a more space-saving, height-adjustable one. Additionally, an FPS counter, 2-watt stereo speakers, and a USB hub with two ports further enhance the features.
