Dell’s Inspiron 14 5441: Power and Affordability Unite with Snapdragon X Plus Technology

Dell’s Inspiron 14 5441 is its most affordable notebook yet, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus, which promises exceptional battery life. Featuring two USB 4 ports, a 16:10 display, and support for Microsoft’s Copilot+ AI features, the Inspiron 14 aims to deliver a strong price-performance ratio.

The new Dell Inspiron 14 (5441) is positioned as a cheaper alternative to the Inspiron 14 Plus (7441). The two notebooks offer practically the same design, but there are two significant differences in terms of features. Firstly, Dell replaces the 400 nits bright QHD display with a 14-inch IPS panel in 16:10 format, which achieves a resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels and a brightness of 300 nits.

Secondly, you can get the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus X1P-64-100 for an additional charge; the basic model comes equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus X1P-42-100 instead. The chip has only eight instead of ten processor cores and a much slower graphics chip, which achieves a nominal computing power of only 1.7 TFLOPS instead of 3.8 TFLOPS.

Dell continues to equip the new model with a 54 Wh battery, but it does not disclose the expected running time. The battery charges through one of the two USB-C ports, providing up to 65 watts of power.

Both USB-C ports support USB 4, including data rates of up to 40 Gbit/s and DisplayPort. Dell also installs a USB-A port (5 Gbit/s), a microSD card reader, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. The Inspiron 14 has 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a 256 GB to 1 TB PCIe SSD. The 15.1-millimeter thin, 1.49-kilogram lightweight notebook offers a fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, a 1,080p webcam, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4.
