IFA 2017: Asus ROG Chimera Gaming Laptop and ROG Strix XG35VQ 35″ Curved Monitor

At the IFA 2017 event in Berlin, Asus announced new products under its ROG (Republic of Gamers) series designed for the gaming world. Among them, we find the brand new ROG Chimera laptop and the ROG Strix XG35VQ Curved monitor.

Asus ROG Chimera Gaming Laptop

Asus ROG Chimera gaming laptop – the Taiwanese company confirmed that this is the world’s first gaming laptop with an ultra-responsive 144Hz wide-view display and a 7ms gray-to-gray response time. It features a 17.3-inch  with FHD (1920×1080) resolution, G-Sync technology for 144Hz refresh rate and 7ms response time. ROG Chimera is powered by an Intel Core i7-7820HK processor that reaches incredible speeds of up to 4.3GHz. Finally, there is a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card enables gamers to play AAA games at maxed-out settings.

The Chimera comes with built-in Xbox Wireless feature that let you connect Microsoft console accessories without any adapter. The laptop is running Windows 10 operating system.

Asus ROG Strix XG35VQ Curved Monitor

Next is the new Asus ROG Strix XG35VQ curved monitor features a huge 35-inch UWQHD (3440×1440) display with a 100Hz refresh rate, 21:9 ratio, and Adaptive-Sync technology. The curved monitor is equipped with Aura Sync lighting that can be synced with in-game audio or with Aura Sync-enabled PC components, keyboards, and mice — allowing for limitless customization possibilities.

There is still no further information on their pricing and availability. In addition, Asus also introduced several products in Strix series including ROG Strix SCAR Edition, ROG Strix Hero Edition, ROG Strix GL503, ROG Strix GL702VI and ROG Strix GL702ZC gaming laptops; motherboard such as ROG Strix X399-E Gaming and ROG Strix X299-E Gaming; and the ROG Strix GD30 desktop.
