HyperX – the gaming arm of Kingston Technology, has unveiled the HyperX SoloCast USB microphone for streamers and multimedia creators. The advantages of the HyperX microphone include the presence of a touch switch and an LED status indicator, as well as a cardio-diode radiation pattern, which makes it possible to separate the useful signal from the surrounding background.
Thanks to its small size and swivel stand with an adjustable angle, the Hyper X microphone is well suited even when space is limited, such as under a monitor. Includes a universal mounting adapter for 3/8” and 5/8” connectors, making it compatible with most stands and pantographs.
The microphone gaming is powered via USB, drawing up to 47mA of current. It supports 16-bit data representation and sampling rates of 8, 16, 32, 44.1, and 48 kHz. An electret condenser microphones with a frequency response of 20-20,000 Hz is installed in the housing. The Hyper X mic weighs 261 grams, the stand is 125 grams, and the total weight with a 2 m cable is 430 grams.
