Huawei MediaPad M5 will be launched in two screen sizes – 8.4 and 10.1 inches respectively. At the moment, this news has been suggested by few tweets that containing information and presumed renders of the two different models.
MediaPad M5 8.4-inch version that recently also received an American FCC certification. On the front side of the tablet, we find a physical button which will certainly be a fingerprint sensor below the screen and a camera for video calls or take selfies.
In the upper and lower profiles there are the dual audio speakers, presumably a microphone and the USB Type-C port, while on the side edges have been placed the power buttons and volume rocker, in addition to the SIM / MicroSD card slot. Finally, in the back cover are visible with the two antennas integrated into the body and the main image sensor with a raised edge.
The 10.1-inch variant, despite developing horizontally – we can see the front camera position – implements of the home button with fingerprint sensor on the right side, an intelligent placement in which it will be natural to rest your thumb while using the tablet. Here is also the front and rear cameras, the USB Type-C port, this time located in the right side profile, and the classic style physical buttons. The back panel stands out with the large speaker grille and a magnetic pin that can be used to connect covers, Bluetooth keyboards, and other accessories.
The 3.5 mm audio jack seems to be missing in both models, a jack now destined to disappear, at least on smartphones and tablets. The Huawei MediaPad M5 should be announced at Mobile World Congress 2018, so we will not have to wait much longer to know all about it.
