The Huawei MatePad Pro 12.2 is finally coming to the UK and is a direct alternative to the iPad Pro. Like Apple, Huawei relies on a highly bright tandem OLED display with particularly narrow screen bezels and a stylus.

The MatePad Pro 12.2 is exciting because Huawei has installed an OLED display with a tandem structure that achieves an HDR peak brightness of 2,000 nits, which even exceeds the brightness of the current Apple iPad Pro by 25 percent. The display is in 3:2 format and achieves a resolution of 2,800 x 1,840 pixels and a frame rate of 144 Hz.
With its quad speakers, the tablet is perfectly suited for multimedia applications. Additionally, the pressure-sensitive stylus makes the MatePad Pro 12.2 an excellent choice for artists. Furthermore, its 10,100 mAh battery supports fast charging of up to 100 watts via USB-C. This flagship tablet, just 5.5 millimeters thin and weighing only 508 grams, runs on a HiSilicon Kirin 9000S ARM chip. Lastly, the fingerprint sensor is conveniently located on the side of the case.
Huawei has installed a 13-megapixel f/1.8 primary camera, an 8-megapixel f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 16-megapixel f/2.2 selfie camera. The USB-C port supports USB 3.1 Gen 1 and can transfer data at a maximum of 5 Gbit/s. Four microphones, Bluetooth 5.2 with support for Sony LDAC, and HarmonyOS 4.2 round off the features.
Huawei MatePad Pro 12.2 price in UK
Huawei officially launched the MatePad Pro 12.2 in China in August, and the tablet has now arrived in the UK. Amazon UK confirmed that the tablet is available in this country with 12 GB RAM and 512 GB flash storage for £799.99. However, buyers at this price already receive the version with a PaperMatte display and included keyboard cover, which is available in China for an additional charge.
