Huawei Honor Xiao K: SmartWatch for Kids with integrated SIM, WiFi and GPS

The Huawei addressed to young kids by launching a new smartwatch called Honor Xiao K.

The Huawei quietly announced Honor Xiao K, its first Smart Watch for Kids in China, and available for purchase at 688 Yuan. There are four different versions, two of them designed for girls-based on Frozen and Disney Princess; while two for boys-based on Toy Story and Big Hero characters.

The Huawei Honor Xiao K is available in various bright colors, and their body is decorated with the images of popular Disney’s cartoon characters. This Watch is not just an ordinary accessory, but completely independent mobile phone; which also supports nano SIM card slot.

The Huawei Honor Xiao K features a touch screen PMOLED display 1.3 inches with a resolution of 128×128 pixels. It measures 43x41x13.8mm and weighs less than 50 grams. Also presence of speakerphone, microphone, pedometer, light sensors, gyroscope, accelerometer and a proximity sensor.

First of all, it should be noted that this product does not contain any entertainment features for the kids. It has Single SIM support and can be configured up to 5 emergency phone numbers to be dialed in order of importance of the emergency situation. Furthermore, there is also GPS navigation, so parents can track their child’s location.

There is also worth noting point that the supports of IP55 certification, which means that the Huawei Honor Xiao K watch can be survive in the heavy rain; Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 LE. On the battery, it has a 300mAh battery and according the company it is able to last up to 5 days.

The Huawei Honor Xiao K Kids Watch comes with a very easy interface and connected with smartphones based on iOS and Android. Through application you can set the features and keep track of the movements of the device. You can also set a safety zone as well.

The Honor Xiao K is sold in China at a price of 688 yuan – approximately $107. There is no further information on availability for other regions.
