Huawei Honor Magic released with WiseScreen, FaceCode, Magic Live, and More

Huawei has finally unveiled the Honor Magic smartphone today after many leaks and speculations. Additionally, the company also hints the Huawei concept smartphone will have WiseScreen sensor, which combines an infrared sensor in the front-facing camera, and a sensor in its frame. For sensors, the device uses all new WiseScreen sensor, which turns on / off the screen. Another new feature is FaceCode Intelligent Recognition, which prevent other unregistered faces to see your messages or notifications. Huawei Honor Magic

The company also offered new Honor Magic Live software based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, which features all new AI technology. The company also touted few AI technology features, for example – DeepThink – Press and hold the home button and the device will offer multi-face information based on the current webpage you visit; On Wechat, if you are talking about movies, it will automatically recommend you to latest movies;

If you use the device to order a cab, the driver’s license plate information will be shown on the display under locked screen mode; When you are on the road, the device will automatically recognizes that you are driving and will prompt a reminder for you to switch the device to driving mode. It will automatically display your parcel tracking number or displays your ticket booking number when you entered into the theatre. It will automatically turn-on the flashlight when you enter into a dark room.

There is also My Pocket feature, which will allow you to swipe up from the bottom of the screen to activate the save and share button. The Honor Magic features a 5.06-inch AMOLED display with 2K (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution, along with 577ppi pixel per density. The smartphone is said to be powered by a 2.3 octa-core processor that is fueled by Huawei Kirin 950 chipset clubbed with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage. Honor Magic Live

For optics, it has a 12-megapixel dual autofocus camera with f/2.2 aperture, PDAF, dual-tone LED flash, and able to record 4K videos. There is an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture for selfie and video calling. There is also a fingerprint sensor placed in the home button.

The handset runs Honor Magic Live OS and packs a 2900mAh battery with fast charge technology. For connectivity, includes 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.2, USB-C, and 3.5mm jack. It measures 146.1 x 69.9 x 7.8 mm and weighs 145 grams.

Lastly, the Huawei Honor Magic price in China is set to CNY 3,699 – approximately $532 USD for Netcom Edition comes in Mysterious Gold with Black color. It is available for order in China via vmall online store starting from today and goes on sale from 25th December, 2016.
