Huawei Honor 9i With 5.84-inch Notch Display, Dual Rear Cameras, 4GB RAM Announced

Huawei Honor 9i has been officially launched in China. It is a mid-range device comes with a 5.84-inch 19:9 display with Notch, 4GB RAM, Dual Rear Cameras, rear fingerprint sensor and Kirin 659 SoC.

The Huawei Honor 9i price in China starts from CNY 1,399 – approximately $218 for the 64GB storage version and the 128GB storage version costs CNY 1,699 – approximately $265. It is already available for pre-order in China and comes in Black, Blue, Green and Purple color options.

Huawei Honor 9i features a 5.84-inch Notch display with Full HD+ (1080 x 2280 pixels) resolution, 19:9 aspect ratio, 2.5D curved glass display with toughened glass protection. The handset is powered by 2.36GHz Kirin 659 Octa-core processor paired with MaliT830-MP2 GPU and 4GB of RAM. The company has promised to bring GPU Turbo graphics processing acceleration technology to the phone via OTA update by July 30th. This increases graphics processing efficiency of mobile phones for smoother and faster mobile experience, especially for mobile games.

On the camera front, the Honor 9i flaunts a dual rear camera setup: a 13-megapixel rear camera along with a 2-megapixel secondary camera for portrait shots. There is also a 16-megapixel front-facing selfie camera with face beauty and face recognition. It features a fingerprint sensor on the back and packs 64GB / 128GB of internal storage with microSD slot up to 256GB.

The Honor 9i packs a 3000mAh battery with fast charging support, and EMUI 8.0 running on top of Android 8.0 Oreo. For connectivity, includes Dual SIM 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, GLONASS, USB Type-C, 3.5mm audio jack and FM Radio options. The device measures 149.2×71.8×7.7mm and weighs 152 grams.
