Huawei Honor 5A with 4G VoLTE, Kirin 620 SoC and 13MP Camera Launched

Huawei Honor 5A has been officially launched in China, Honor – a separate Brand of Huawei designed for mid-range smartphone segment with attractive prices, such as the Honor 5C was announced a few months ago. This is mid-range smartphone with 13MP camera and Android 6.0 from the company. Huawei Honor 5A price is around 699 Yuan – approximately $106 and is available in Black, White, Blue and Gold color variants. It will go on sale from June 17 in China.

The Huawei Honor 5A features a 5.5-inch IPS display with HD (720 x 1280 pixels) resolution that can translate a pixel density of 267ppi, 178 degree wide viewing angle and contrast ratio of 1000:1. The device also comes with tempered glass protection on top of it. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz octa-core processor which supported by 64-bit Kirin 620 chipset clubbed Mali 450-MP4 GPU. It comes with 2GB of RAM and a 16GB of inbuilt storage which can be expanded via microSD card up to 128GB.

On the imaging features, the Honor 5A flaunts a 13-megapixel primary camera with Sony or OmniVision sensor, f/2.0 aperture, 28mm wide-angle lens and LED flash. It has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with Sony or Hynix BSI sensor, 4P lens, f/2.0 aperture and 27mm wide-angle lens to capture self portraits and quality video calling.

The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based on Huawei EMUI 4.1 out of the box. It packs a 3000mAh battery that is claimed to deliver standby time of up to 260 hours, talk-time of up to 28 hours, up to 10 hours of video playback time, up to 30 hours of music playback time and up to 6 hours of web surfing time.

The Honor 5A comes with hybrid SIM slot with dual standby, For connectivity includes 4G VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB 2.0 and 3.5 mm audio jack options. It measures 154.3 x 77.1 x 8.45 mm and weighs around 168 grams.
