HTC One A9 with 5.0-inch AMOLED Display, 13MP Camera with OIS, RAW and Fingerprint Sensor Launched

HTC has officially launched the One A9. True to rumors, this smartphone possesses a monolithic metal frame with a 5.0-inch AMOLED Full-HD resolution screen, fingerprint sensors in the front and pre-installed Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box. It is also one of the few HTC phone which comes with AMOLED screen panel, most of its devices had LCD screens. The HTC One A9 will start selling in November of this year for less than $399 for an unlocked version in the US. Users will have various options to choose such as Topaz Gold, Carbon Gray, Opal Silver and Deep Granet.

The HTC One A9 has many valuable features when talking about its imaging quality, it bears a 13-megapixel primary camera on the back with the optical image stabilization system, AF phase detection, and special picture editing apps and support for RAW files directly from the device. It also has a Time Lapse Movie mode – HTC called it Hyper Lapse mode – were included in the A9 Camera app.

Seen from the front you might wonder that its unaware of the dual speaker line, so there are BoomSound speakers on the HTC A9 or not?. And the answer is yes. The front speakers are still right where speaker, while remaining speakers at the bottom edge of the device to make room for the front fingerprint sensor. It is not clear how this new arrangement of the speakers has nothing to impact negatively on audio experience or not because the dual BoomSound speaker on front is one of the main highlights of the HTC One line ever. It also supports 24-bit audio decoding and Dolby Amplifier Technology, but only with a headset, do not apply to external speakers.

Inside the HTC One A9 fitted with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 Octa-core SoC, not any MediaTek Hexa-core chipset as previous gossip. The chipset backed by a 64-bit architecture with 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 processor. It packs a 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal memory and supports quite massive external space up to 2TB with the help of MicroSD memory card.

After the official launch of HTC One A9, one of the Taiwanese group said that One A9 unlocked version will receive Android updates in the future as soon as possible. Accordingly, Jason Mackenzie HTC US President confirmed that, within 15 days after Google released a new Android update for the Nexus line, One A9 will also be updated and get the latest version ASAP. That likely HTC has found a way to increase the compatibility of HTC Sense with Android platform.
