HP Z24m G3 Video conferencing monitor with speakers, mic, and webcam

The HP is launching a new quad HD monitor with speakers, mic, and camera for video conferencing and office purposes. The DisplayHDR-400-certified HP Z24m G3 relies on an IPS panel with WQHD resolution (2560×1440 pixels) with a maximum refresh rate of 90 Hz and a point density of 123 PPI.

In addition, HP 24 inch monitor has a contrast ratio of 1000:1, 10-bit color depth (8 bit + FRC), 400 cd/m² brightness, and 5 ms response time (grey to gray). You can also expect 99 percent sRGB, 99 percent Rec. 709, 90 percent DCI-P3 and typical power consumption of 38 watts. However, the latter should be significantly lower under real conditions.

To make the HP 24 inch monitor suitable for video conferencing, it has a 5 MP pop-up webcam, a noise-canceling microphone, and two internal 5-watt speakers. That allows you to conduct video calls without additional equipment.

On the connection side, DisplayPort 1.4 (input and output), HDMI 2.0, a USB 3.2 hub, an RJ-45 socket, and USB-C with DisplayPort alternate mode and a 100-watt power supply can be used. Due to the DisplayPort output, connecting multiple monitors via daisy chaining is easily possible. On the ergonomic side, hardly any wishes remain unfulfilled with rotation, inclination, height adjustment, pivot, VESA mount (100 x 100 mm), blue light filtering, and flicker-free backlight.

Price and availability

The HP Z24m G3 webcam monitor has been priced at $509 and is listed on the Bhphotovideo.com store without any availability details.

Updated on September 5, 2022: the Z24M G3 24-inch monitor with camera and speakers available on the Amaozon.com at $551.99 and Amazon.co.uk at £1,061.59.
