HP OMEN X 2S 15 is a World’s First Dual-screen Gaming Laptop

Confirming an ever-increasing interest in high-end gaming laptops, HP is expanding its catalog and announcing the new lineup driven by the top of the range OMEN X 2S 15, the world’s first dual-screen gaming laptop.

Optimized to guarantee top performance, especially in the multitasking field, HP OMEN X 2S features a 15-inch main display (refresh rate up to 144Hz and optional G-Sync support), while on the upper part of the keyboard integrates a second 6.0-inch Full-HD touchscreen display, ideal for managing any other application without having to interrupt the gameplay.

The new HP gaming laptop uses a metal chassis, with a thickness of 20 millimeters and a weight of 2.34 kg; the design is appealing, not too exaggerated, and a gaming keyboard with RGB backlighting is provided. The cooling system, which includes a liquid metal-based component, is very nice; according to HP, this approach achieves 10 times more heat dissipation (CPU / GPU) than the common thermal grease paste.

Moving on to the hardware configuration, HP OMEN X 2S 15 uses the latest Intel Core processors with options up to the more powerful Core i9; this is complemented by 3200 MHz DDR4 memories, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 (Max-Q) graphics and PCIe storage with optional RAID and support for the latest Intel OptaneTeton Glacier. The equipment is completed by a discrete expansion section with options for USB 3.1 Type A, Thunderbolt 3 (via USB-C), HDMI 2.0b, WiFi and Gigabit LAN and Bang & Olufsen Audio with DTS X.
