Besides the high-end World’s Thinnest Laptop – Spectre 13, HP also upgrades its ENVY laptop lineup. In new HP Envy 2016 series, first we have Envy x360 thinner than previous models and longer battery life and additional options for 4K display. Meanwhile, high-end entertainment duo Envy 15.6″ and Envy 17.3″ also now thinner, lighter, and available for purchase in different configuration options, support HP Fast Charge and optional Intel RealSense webcam.
HP Envy x360 (2016):
HP Envy x360 is a hybrid laptop with anodize aluminum housing, 15.6-inch touch display screen, 360 degrees folding hinge design similar to Spectre x360. New HP Envy x360 2016 variants are significantly thin with 18.8 mm thikness and weighs about 2kg, and now offers a higher resolution display options for users. Laptop is equipped with HP Audio Boost technology along with Bang & Olufsen sound system.
Optional configuration of the 2016 newest HP X360 laptop will include the 6th generation Intel Core i5 or i7 processors with optional Intel Iris graphics or 7th generation AMD FX 9800P Quad-Core Processor with Radeon R7 Graphics. The maximum RAM is 16GB HP provides, SSD options (up to 256GB M.2 PCIe) and HDD (up to 2TB).
On connectivity front, all ports have been changed to 2x USB 3.0 with 1x HP USB Boost, 1x USB-C will replace the older version on USB 2.0, HDMI and SD card reader remains the same. Battery life is also improved, up to 11 hours, more than 3 hours compared to previous models.

HP Envy 15.6 ” & 17.3″ (2016):
Besides Envy x360 hybrid laptop, there were two most popular versions of the Envy series – 15.6″ and 17.3″ have been upgraded. HP continues to use metal uni-body, but thinner and lighter, equipped with Full HD IPS screen with touch or not touch options to choose. 15.6″ model will be around 17.95 mm thin, weighs about 2kg, while 17.3″ model 25.45 mm slim and weighs 3kg. These two are equipped with the new configuration, new connections and HP Fast Charge feature allow 90% charging in just 90 minutes when powered off.
HP Envy 15 2016 model will have Intel Core processors up to i7 with option of UMA or Intel Iris graphics. Optional RAM up to 16GB, and dual storage options of up to 1TB HDD and 256GB PCIe SSD.

HP Envy 17 2016 model remains the same Intel Core i7 processor, but with Nvidia GeForce 940MX GPU. Set up to 1TB hard drive and 512GB SATA SSD. In addition, the Envy 17.3″ also feature Windows Hello support of optional Intel RealSense camera system allows unlocking the device through the face.
