The flagship Magic5 series is scheduled to make its debut in Barcelona during MWC 2023. However, Honor has revealed that its new Lite variant will be launched in the same region ahead of time. The Honor Magic5 Lite features a 120Hz AMOLED display and the OEM’s latest rear camera for mid-range devices. However, it is equipped with lenses that are not typically found in its higher-end counterparts.
The mid-range smartphone has a display that is rounded to the left and right, a rounded back, and a ring-shaped camera module, which gives the device a modern look. The manufacturer installs a 6.67-inch, 120 Hz, 1080p+ AMOLED display, which should not flicker visibly thanks to a PWM dimming of 1920 Hz.
The 16-megapixel selfie camera sits in a central punch hole, and the fingerprint sensor is invisibly integrated into the display. On the back, there is a ring-shaped camera module that houses the 64 MP f/1.8 main camera, the 5 MP f/2.2 ultra wide-angle camera, and the 2 MP macro camera.
The smartphone has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 with two ARM Cortex-A78 performance cores with clock frequencies of up to 2.2 GHz, six Cortex-A55 efficiency cores at 1.7 GHz, and an integrated 5G modem. The 5,100 mAh battery can be charged with up to 40 watts via USB-C. The smartphone comes with MagicUI 6.1 based on Android 12.
