The Chinese manufacturer Hisense has launched three new Triple Laser projectors: the C2, C2 Pro, and C2 Ultra. These best Dolby Vision projector models succeed the Hisense C1 and can upscale to a maximum resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels (4K) at 60 Hz. For those who prefer a higher refresh rate, the resolution can be adjusted to 2K, enabling refresh rates of up to 240 Hz.
The VIDAA U7 operating system offers smart functionality and supports voice control through Alexa or VIDAA Voice. Apps for services such as Disney+, Netflix, Prime Video, and YouTube are available. The projector adjusts the image ideally using autofocus and automatic keystone correction. Cinephiles will appreciate Dolby Vision and HDR10+. Hisense will also provide the C2 Pro and C2 Ultra with IMAX Enhanced through a firmware update.
Two internal 10-watt speakers from JBL are responsible for the acoustics, with the Hisense C2 Ultra also having a 20-watt subwoofer. The maximum brightness of the projectors is 2000 (C2), 2600 (C2 Pro), or 3000 (C2 Ultra) ANSI lumens, and the contrast ratio is 1700:1 (C2) or 2000:1 (C2 Pro and Ultra). While the C2 has a digital zoom, its two siblings have an optical zoom.
