HD PENTAX-D FA645 35mm f/3.5 AL IF Lens is the wide-angle lens for medium format cameras such as Pentax 645. This lens is upgraded version of the previous Pentax smc FA 645 35mmf/3.5 AL IF Lens. The lens has both high refractive index and hybrid aspherical elements, for optimizing peripheral brightness and compensate for chromatic and spherical aberrations, PENTAX-original HD Coating to lessen flare and ghosting, to convey high-contrast, high-resolution images even under demanding lighting conditions and a protective SP coating to keep grime off of the front element.

The lens design is based on the Pentax smc FA 645 35mmf/3.5 AL IF, renowned for its crisp image description. On account of the newly designed high-grade aspherical optical elements, it has been optimized for digital imaging by minimizing various aberrations.

The lens has wide angle 35mm focal length is designed for Pentax 645 Medium Format will give a 35mm-equivalent 27.5mm focal length, while on 645 film cameras its equivalent to 21.5mm. The minimum focus distance was reduced only 0.3m, combined with a maximum magnification ratio of 0.25X will allow you to take versatile pictures, from landscape to macro.

The lens aperture changes from f/3.5 to f/32 with 9-blade rounded aperture to produce a smooth, beautiful bokeh effect, while minimizing the streaking effect of point light sources, internal focusing and is threaded for 82mm filters.
