BenQ has a new projector on offer. GV50 is a compact and lightweight model with a unique stand, making it especially easy to adjust to various situations.

BenQ already offers several projectors with unique stands. For example, the BenQ GV31 features a round design and allows rotation. With the BenQ GV50, the manufacturer is now doing the same thing. The model can be adjusted vertically by 135° and rotated fully. Additionally, the system can be tilted or angled; a fold-out plastic support at the base of the stand facilitates these adjustments. Projection is possible on the ceiling or sloping roof, for example.

The BenQ GV50 is a laser projector with a brightness that, while limited, is still quite high for its class. According to the manufacturer, it offers 500 ANSI lumens of brightness. The smart beam mini projector has an input lag of 22.4 milliseconds, measured with Full HD content at a 60 Hz refresh rate. It features a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. The light source is rated for 20,000 hours in Eco mode and up to 30,000 hours in standard mode.

The projection ratio is 1.2:1, allowing image sizes up to 120 inches. For a 120-inch image, you need a distance of 3.2 meters, while 1.5 meters is sufficient for a 60-inch image. The smart projector supports direct media streaming from various providers and features automatic focus, keystone correction, and image rotation for easy setup. It can transmit image signals via USB Type-C, which also supports power delivery, and it includes HDMI connectivity.

BenQ GV50 price and release date

The projector is available on Amazon.com for a standard retail price of $599.

Recently, BenQ introduced the new 4K HDR projector for gaming with high brightness: TK710. It features a high native resolution, promising superior display quality, and notably low input lag.

The manufacturer specifies a brightness of 3,200 ANSI lumens, which means the projector is not ideal for use in completely dark rooms. However, its low input lag makes it suitable for gaming. With Full HD content at 250 Hz, the delay is just 4 milliseconds, while for 4K content at 60 Hz, it is 16 milliseconds. The BenQ home cinema projector supports 4K resolution and includes HDMI for image signals, along with USB and RS-232 connections for control.

The BenQ TK710 4K projector for TV and gaming is available on Amazon at $1,799.
