Grado GW100 World’s First Open-back Wireless Headset

Earlier at the international audio show, Grado had introduced the test versions of his first wireless headset. However, it is now fully prepared and has officially been listed on its website too.

For those who love earphones when talking about high-end handmade headphones in Brooklyn, New York will think of Grado. Grado Labs have always experienced the ups and downs of its founder, Joseph Grado, from the 1950s to his son John Grado, but his headphones have a special place in the hearts of fans. The latest one is the GW100 headset will mark Grado Labs’ first step in the emerging wireless headset market.

The first thing you can see is that the ultra-stylish design remains the same on the Graduated GW100, and will be the company’s first wireless headset. The company also claims they’re the only open-back Bluetooth headphones on the market, So, for people who need to be on the go or on public transport, the GW100 may not be the first choice, but when talking about Grado, no one talks about comfort or wear. Most of which are concerned with the sound quality.

The headset uses Bluetooth 4.2 aptX technology with the same trademark Grado styling, Grado audio drivers, and open-air design as ever. Even confidently introduces its distinctive sound quality unchanged except for the absence of wires.

The Grado GW100 battery life up to 15 hours (50% of volume) thanks to the 320mAh battery. The headset also has a microphone that supports conversations like regular Bluetooth headsets. You can also use the 3.5mm cable to connect the headset in case of a run out of the battery.

The GW100 also has the ability to use voice assistant on the phone, call, control playback through the control buttons on the earcup. The charging port uses a micro-USB port. The expected price of the GW100 will be $250 and will be available in mid-September.
