Google Pixel and Pixel XL Price, Specifications and Availability

Google Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones has been officially unveiled at an event called ‘Made by Google’ in San Francisco on Tuesday. These are the first Google phones to come with a built-in Google Assistant. 2

The Google Pixel price is about $649 for 32GB variant in the US, the $749 for 128GB model; While the Google Pixel XL price is $769 for 32GB, and $869 for 128GB storage space.

Both the Google phones are already up for pre-order in the US, UK, Canda, Australia, and Germany, with an expected release date of October 20. It will be available exclusively via Verizon and unlocked model from Google store. Both smartphones will be available in Quite Black, Very Silver, and Really Blue (limited edition) color options. 1

In India, the Google Pixel Phone Price is set to Rs. 57,000 for 32GB variant, the Rs. 66,000 for 128GB model; While the Google Pixel XL price is Rs. 67,000 for 32GB, and Rs. 76,000 for 128GB storage space. Both will go on pre-order exclusively via Flipkart online store starting from 13th, October.

Coming to Specifications, the Google Pixel features a 5.0-inch AMOLED display with full-HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution that can convey a pixel density of 441ppi and 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection on top of it. While the Google Pixel XL sports a 5.5-inch Quad HD Amoled display, pixel density of 534ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. Both Pixel phones will be available with almost identical innards except the screen size and battery size.

Both devices sport metal uni-body and polished glass panel at the back. Both are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, with quad-cores clocked at 1.6GHz, and 2.15GHz, respectively. Both come with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM and Pixel imprint fingerprint sensor.

On the camera front, both Pixel smartphones bears a 12.3-megapixel primary autofocus camera with a Sony IMX378 sensor, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, 1.55-micron pixels and LED flash. There is an 8-megapixel front-facing camera on both devices with a Sony IMX179 sensor, f/2.4 aperture and 1.4-micron pixels. 3

Both Google Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones run Android 7.1 Nougat OS out of the box. For battery the Pixel comes with a 2770mAh battery that supports fast charging that can help to provide up to 7 hours of usage time from only 15 minutes of charging. It promises talk time up to 26 hours, a standby time of up to 19 days, and up to 13 hours of video playback. While the Google Pixel XL comes with little larger a 3450mAh battery with fast charging and can deliver up to 32 hours of talk time, a standby time of up to 23 days, and up to 14 hours of video playback.

On the connectivity front, both devices sports 4G with VoLTE, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band) MIMO, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, USB Type-C, NFC and a 3.5 mm audio jack as connectivity options.
